A professional development weekend for artists led by Fergus Early from Green Candle Dance Company.
With an OBE for services to dance and an honorary Doctorate of Arts, this highly anticipated weekend course led be Fergus, will explore the skills and approaches to making choreography with and for older people and will have a particular focus on alternative spaces such as care homes, hospitals and day centres.
From exploring the valuable contribution to society of older adults and the value of dance to older adults, to exploring intergenerational performance work including form and content, this intensive workshop offers an extensive overview of working with older audiences, performers and creators.
Open to dance artists and recent graduates – and with participants from Cheshire Dance’s “Live Well Dance” groups – this course is highly recommended by Cheshire Dance.
