Chester Pride works to support, advocate for, and celebrate the LGBTQ+ community of Cheshire and North Wales.
We plan and run the annual Chester Pride festival, run the Just Ask LGBTQ+ helpline, have started the Proud at Work network for local businesses, sit on local advisory boards, and run several small wellbeing, mental health, and awareness raising projects. We also run a café and community space in Chester city centre, that offers a safe LGBTQ+ space, a LGBTBQ+ library, and host a range of social and support groups run by ourselves and external partners.
Although we started as a Pride organisation, our work has expanded significantly to now encompass a wide range of service provision, all to support the LGBTQ+ community, and address inequality and discrimination in all areas of society.
