On 28th April, the University of Chester’s Faculty of Health and Social Care won the award ‘Student Placement of the year: Community’ at the Nursing Times Awards for its Creative Health Placement.
Cheshire Dance was delighted to play a role in this placement, sharing with nursing students how dance supports health and wellbeing in different health and community contexts – for example, dance and falls prevention, dance and dementia, hospital rehabilitation and dance in disability contexts.
Victoria Ridgway, Associate Dean of the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Society at Chester University has said: “I just wanted to share our exciting news, on Friday we went to the student nursing times awards and won!! Student placement of the year; community. This would not have been possible without your contribution, ideas and dedication to the creative health placement… A massive thank you!”
