Celebrating a Highly Commended for The Spotlight Project!
We’re thrilled to share that The Spotlight Project was awarded Highly Commended last week at the Cheshire Community Foundation’s President’s Awards, in the category of ‘Improving Mental Health and Wellbeing’.
Working in partnership with New Images Youth and Community Centre, Mind Body Balance Academy, Youth Fed and Winsford Care Community, The Spotlight Project is an initiative for young people aged 11-18 in Winsford to get active to improve their mental health and well-being. Placing the Spotlight on what the YOUNG PEOPLE like to do, the initiative encourages this age group to experience new things whilst building their confidence and providing the opportunity to engage with others from the local area in free, weekly movement sessions.
Our wonderful Dance Development Artists, Josie, had a wonderful time at Combermere Abbey accepting the award on behalf of the team and young people, surrounded by a roomful of inspiring organisations!
A huge thank you to CCF for the recognition, and congratulations to all the incredible nominees and winners, and of course, a huge thank you and well done to everyone involved in The Spotlight Project. Find out more about The Spotlight Project here.
