“Moving Matters” provides a safe space for people to come together to focus on their mental health and emotional wellbeing. With the opportunity to share challenges, express emotions (verbally and non-verbally through movement) and support each other, these sessions are participant-led and provide time and space for positive discussions and movement/dance activities.
Community focused and welcoming of adults of all ages, backgrounds, abilities/disabilities and ethnicities, we believe Moving Matters has the scope to provide rapid intervention to help evade escalation to crisis – particularly at a time when so many are struggling with the effects of the pandemic. Through this programme, Cheshire Dance seeks to support families at an early stage by increasing social support to result in enhanced mental health and overall improved well-being.
For details of the sessions, please search for ‘Moving Matters’ in our events section. Alternatively, for more info contact: classes@cheshiredance.org or call 01606 861770.
