Established in 2009, Movema is an award-winning world dance company run by four female artists from diverse cultural backgrounds, based & working in Liverpool & Bristol areas. Movema celebrates diversity through dance, creating:

Safe spaces for different communities to come together, learn about each other & improve their health and wellbeing.
High quality arts & culture experiences, including choreographed shows, parades, outdoor events & festival performances.
Participation & learning projects such as workshops, masterclasses, schools programmes & teacher resources.
Employment, apprenticeships, up-skilling opportunities for professional & emerging dance artists & our volunteer network.

Wildfire Rising

‘Wildfire Rising’ is an associate artist programme from Cheshire Dance and Movema that looks to remove barriers of inequality by investing in and supporting dance artists from African, South, East and South East Asian diasporas to make way for the rising of their artistry, representation and development.

Winsford Creates

An adventure through the arts; a free festival dance performances, live bands, percussion parades, creative workshops, a Cine Window installation, great food & drink… and a fantastic vibe!

Cheshire Dance is the lead organisation of Dance Consortia North West, a powerful gathering of dance artists, companies, venues, universities and dance development organisations.
