Emma is the Programme Manager for our Nexus Programme, supported by the Westminster Foundation.
With an Undergraduate and Masters degree in Dance and training from 12 Degrees North Dance Company and a wealth of experience with the creation of community and education projects, as well as the creation of performance work, Emma Thomas is a highly experienced dance artist.
Emma has taught in a wide range of educational and youth settings and with diverse groups across England and Wales. She specialises in working in inclusive settings and has delivered workshops and projects for those with physical and learning disabilities, Dementia and Parkinsons. Emma joined Cheshire Dance following roles at Brewery Arts Centre and the Centre for Advanced Training in Dance at The Lowry. Emma is trained in the use of Makaton Sign to add communication, is a SEND specialist as well as a trained reflex integration assessor.
Emma also advises, mentors and produces dance artists and companies, and creates and performs her own contemporary work in both live and screen performance.
