Rewind, delivered by Theatre in the Quarter and Cheshire Dance, is an exciting theatre and movement company for young people in the Blacon area of the city. Rewind brings together young people to create new pieces of theatre, music and dance. The children, drawn from six schools in Blacon, join to create a storyline and lyrics for the piece, which culminates in a unique performance.

Theatre in The Quarter is Chester’s leading professional theatre company. Founded in 2005, it has quickly gained a reputation for original music theatre, engaging with professional actors, musicians, directors and designers, as well as numerous members of the community, of all ages and abilities.

**November 2024 Announcement**
We are delighted to tell you that Theatre in the Quarter and Cheshire Dance are ready to start Rewind Youth Theatre again for a project next term, starting in January 2025.

What?
We will be working together to create a brand new play, which will include writing and performing new songs, lots of dance and plenty of acting and storytelling.

When?
We will meet Tuesday evenings from 4.15 – 6.15pm at Dee Point Primary School.

The dates:-
January: 14th, 21st, 28th
February: 4th, 11th,
Half term
March: 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th

Additional session
Saturday 22nd February, 10am – 2pm

Performances
Monday 31^st  March and Tuesday 1^st April
Two performances at Blacon Primary Schools, during school time.

Monday 31^st March
At Storyhouse Theatre, Garratt Studio. Children needed from 4:30pm for a performance at 6pm.

Further details on the performance, including ticket details, will be shared nearer the time.

Who can get involved? 
Anyone age 7-11 with enthusiasm and a commitment to be at all sessions is welcome.  Please bring a water bottle and a healthy snack for the break.

How much is it?
We are supported by the Chester West Council and the Westminster Foundation as of part of the NEXUS youth dance programme, so the cost is greatly reduced. Each session only costs £3 and the total cost is £30.

You may wish to pay weekly, by cash or card at each session, or you can pay in two instalments at the session:
